Mumbai, Dec. 17 -- In a commendable humanitarian action, the Dongri Police successfully reunited a missing minor girl with her mother in a densely populated area of south Mumbai, officials said on Wednesday.

The incident came to light when Beat Marshal Sonawane, while on routine patrol within the jurisdiction of the Wadi Bandar Beat Chowki, noticed a girl aged around three to three-and-a-half years crying on Poona Street. Despite making immediate inquiries with people in the vicinity, he was unable to obtain any information about the child's identity or family.
