Shimla, April 10 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Friday termed the Sukhu government's 'Vyavastha Parivartan' (system change) policies as unconstitutional, while welcoming the High Court's decision to restore pensions of two BJP MLAs, formerly rebel Congress legislators.

Reacting to the development, Thakur said the verdict marked a 'victory of justice' and a defeat of what he described as 'vindictive and authoritarian governance'.

He alleged that the state government has been repeatedly indulging in unconstitutional actions in the name of administrative reforms, leading to frequent judicial interventions and embarrassment.
