Ranchi, Dec. 22 -- With digital devices becoming central to education and recreation, ophthalmologists in Ranchi have raised concern over the long-term impact of excessive screen exposure on children's eye health.
Doctors warn that prolonged screen use is not only triggering dry eye disease but is also altering visual habits at an early age, increasing the risk of headaches, eye strain and refractive issues.
Bharti Kashyap, Medical Director, Kashyap Memorial Eye Bank, said eye clinics are witnessing a noticeable rise in young patients complaining of dryness, burning sensations and visual fatigue.
