Imphal, Sept. 23 -- Healthcare services across Manipur came to a grinding halt today as doctors staged widespread protests in response to an attack on medical personnel at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).
Under the banner of the Teachers' and Medical Officers' Association (TAMOA), RIMS doctors began an indefinite cease-work strike from yesterday, shutting down OPD, emergency, surgeries, and other routine services.
However, treatment for patients already admitted to hospitals has continued.
