Lucknow, Jan. 10 -- A joint team of the Surveillance Unit of West Lucknow and Police Station Chowk has arrested a wanted KGMU doctor carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 for allegedly committing serious crimes, including repeated rape on the pretext of marriage, forcing abortion, and coercing religious conversion.

Acting on the orders of the Police Commissioner, Lucknow, and under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Vishwajeet Srivastava and Additional DCP Dhananjay Singh Kushwaha, the operation was carried out under the guidance of ACP Chowk Rajkumar Singh. The arrest was led by Inspector-in-Charge Chowk, Nagesh Upadhyay.
