Hyderabad, Sept. 5 -- The city police today busted a drug racket by arresting nine persons including a doctor, an IT professional and a sex worker.
On credible information, a raid was conducted at a flat in Chilkalguda in the city and one Ramakanth alias Kiran (44) wasarrested, he is a native of Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, police said here.
Ramakanth, a noted drug peddler, who had purchased 100 grams of MDMA from a Nigerian in Bengaluru, brought it to the city and he was selling it to customers with the help of his associate M. Prasad (30) of L B Nagar in the city.
The both accused were allegedly running the drug racket.
After Ramakanth's arrest, the police began tracing his customers.
