Puri, Sept. 11 -- Postgraduate courses will be introduced in several departments of Sri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital from the current academic session.

Principal Prof. Sabita Mahapatra said that the Diplomate of National Board (DNB) has permittedthe institution to start PG courses.

According to the approval, the DNB has sanctioned 4 seats each in Medicine, Surgery, and Paediatrics; 3 seats in Gynaecology and Obstetrics; and 5 seats in Anaesthesiology.

Prof. Kousik Mishra informed that the DNB team had inspected the college infrastructure, faculty strength, and available facilities before granting permission.
