New Delhi, March 6 -- Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has established a new subsidiary, Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL), to bid for metro-rail projects in foreign cities and expand its global consultancy and urban transport services.

According to an official, the move is part of DMRC's strategy to extend its expertise in metro planning, construction, and operations beyond India while exploring business opportunities in international markets.

The subsidiary will enable the corporation to directly participate in bids for overseas metro projects and undertake consultancy work related to urban transport systems.
