Chennai, Nov. 13 -- Tamil Nadu Water Resources Minister Duraimurugan asserted on Thursday that the DMK government will never give up the rights of the farmers in the Cauery delta Region on the Mekedatu Dam row in Karnataka, even as opposition parties, including theAIADMK and the PMK, slammed the state government for failing to put forth its argumentseffectively before the court.
In a statement here, Mr Duraimurugan clarified that the Supreme Court in its order has only directed the TN government to approach expert bodies as it is too premature in approaching the Apex Court as DPR for the new dam project by Karnataka across the river Cauvery is not even approved.
