Dharamshala, Aug. 18 -- Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Dharamshala, Kangra, Rajiv Bali, inaugurated a five-day 40-hour mediation training programme at the DLSA office.

Around 20 lawyers from Kangra and Chamba districts will undergo training by Delhi-based trainers Reema Bhandari and Deepika Jain.

Speaking on the occasion, Bali highlighted the importance of mediation as an impartial process to resolve disputes and stressed the qualities required in an effective mediator, including neutrality, communication skills, empathy and confidentiality.
