Bengaluru, June 17 -- Former Congress MP from Bengaluru Rural, DK Suresh, today confirmed that he had received a summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering investigation involving Bengaluru resident Aishwarya Gowda, who was arrested in April.
The former MP denied any financial links to the accused and said he had lodged a police complaint over the alleged misuse of his name.
The case centres around 33-year-old Aishwarya Gowda, who was arrested by the ED on April 24 and remanded to 14 days' custody by a special PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) court.
