London, July 7 -- Novak Djokovic recovered from a shaky start to defeat Alex de Minaur in four sets and advance to the Wimbledon quarterfinals here today, keeping alive his quest for a record-equalling eighth title at the All England Club.
The 24-time Grand Slam champion looked out of sorts in the opening set but battled back with trademark resilience to win 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in a gripping three-hour and 18-minute contest on Centre Court.
With the victory, Djokovic set up a quarterfinal clash with Italian Flavio Cobolli, who earlier edged Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-4, 6-7, 7-6.
