Chennai, April 9 -- Dixon Technologies Limited on Wednesday signed a MoU with the Tamil Nadu government to set up a state-of-the-art facility to manufacture HP laptops involving an investment of Rs 1,000 crores.
The MoU was signed with the Guidance Tamil Nadu, the nodal agency for attracting investments into the State, in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin, Industries Minister TRB Raaja and company officials at the State Secretariat.
The facility, to come up at Oragadam in neighbouring Kancheepuram district, would manufacture Laptops and All in One PC marking a big day in the Electronic Manufacturing Services.
The new facility would offer jobs to 5,000 people, benefitting youth in and around Kancheepuram district.
