Puducherry, March 15 -- Sir Andrew P. Haines, a noted epidemiologist and distinguished scientist in UK, is visiting India at the invitation of the Indian Academy of Sciences and is scheduled to deliver a lecture in JIPMER here on March 18.



According to a Jipmer release on Friday, during his visit to Jipmer, he will be delivering a lecture on "Climate change and health: The health co-benefits of the low carbon economy", organized by the JIPMER Scientific Society (JSS).

Sir Haines is a Professor of Environmental Change and Public Health with a joint appointment in the Department of Public Health, Environments and Society and in the Department of Population Health.
