Sangli, April 15 -- Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) senior leader Jayant Patil has termed the dismissal of the functioning board of directors of the Sangli Agricultural Produce Market Committee as "anti-democratic".
In a press conference here today, Patil criticized the state government for taking unilateral decisions saying its stance is leaning towards authoritarianism.
Since 'Sangli Market Committee is an important market in the country, and since it is close to the Karnataka border, a large amount of agricultural produce arrives here.
