Lucknow, Feb. 5 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday termed the budget presented by the Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the financial year 2024-25 as directionless and misleading the people.
Addressing a press conference held at the party headquarters, Akhilesh said that the budget presented by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government may satisfy 10 percent of the affluent people of the state, but it will not bring any change in the lives of 90 percent of the people.
He said, "Unless inequality ends, how will everyone get along? In fact, such a budget will increase economic inequality and the gap between the rich and the poor will increase."
