Srinagar, Aug. 20 -- Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir, Maqsood-ul-Zaman, today stressed the importance of people-friendly policing while calling for firm action against anti-peace elements.
He made the remarks while reviewing the security scenario in the border district of Kupwara and assessing the preparedness of forces on the counter-terrorism front.
During the visit, DIG Zaman inspected various operational units and held detailed interactions with SSP Kupwara, Ghulam Jeelani, other officers, and personnel.
