Itanagar, March 9 -- The Arunachal Pradesh government has reiterated the call for an extension of timeline for implementation of the flagship rural road programme, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), to achieve the state's connectivity goals.

Rural Works Department (RWD) Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona informed the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly that the State has achieved around 97 per cent physical progress in PMGSY road construction.

He said the government has sent a DO letter to the Centre seeking an extension of the deadline to complete the remaining projects.
