Hyderabad, May 31 -- The Telangana Emergency Response Support System (TGERSS), operating through the unified emergency number Dial-112, has proven to be a critical lifeline during its initial operational phase, resolving 45 life-threatening cases since its launch on December 5, 2024.

Set up at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre (TGiCCC) in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, the TGERSS was established by the Government of Telangana to replace multiple helpline numbers with a single, integrated response system. The Dial-112 system now covers emergencies related to police, fire, medical assistance, women and child safety, and disaster response.
