Nagpur, Dec. 10 -- There was high drama in the Maharashtra assembly on Wednesday with the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) MLA Mahendra Dhawale calling out as a "fake" a video apparently showing him with bundles of cash, ostensibly for bribing voters in the local body elections in the state.
"If I am proven guilty, I will resign as MLA," Dhawale declared on the floor of the House, while dismissing the video released on Tuesday by Ambadas Danve, leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT) faction, as "fake and doctored" to defame him, Dhawale also stated that he would send a legal notice to Danve. The video posted by Danve was "morphed" and must be investigated, he said.
