Dharwad, April 19 -- The Dharwad Constituency is bracing for a competitive Lok Sabha election as a total of 29 candidates have filed 44 nominations for the upcoming polls.

The filing of nominations concluded on Friday, with the scrutiny of the nomination papers scheduled for Saturday at the office of the returning officer in Dharwad, according to an official statement issued by the District returning officer.

Among the notable candidates who filed their nominations are Riyaz Sheikh, Praveenkumar Madara, Rahul Gandi N, Praveen Hattennavar, and Mohammad Ismail from the Bharatiya Praja Kalyana Party.
