Dehradun, Dec. 3 -- The ashes of the late film actor Dharmendra were immersed in River Ganga at Harki Pairi in Haridwar on Wednesday morning.
His grandson Karan Deol formally carried out the ash immersion process in the presence of his father and well-known Bollywood actor Sunny Deol and uncle Bobby Deol.
Sunny and Bobby reached Haridwar in the morning, carrying the urn containing the ashes of Dharmendra. Following this, Karan formalised the immersion of ashes with traditional religious rites at Harki Pairi. This was followed by the entire family taking part in the prayers.
They also took a dip at a Ganga ghat close to a hotel, informed local priest Rahul Shrotriya, who conducted the ritual for the Deol family.
