Mumbai/New Delhi, Nov. 24 -- Bollywood has lost one of its most beloved and enduring stars, Dharmendra, affectionately called the "He-Man of Indian Cinema," who passed away peacefully at his residence in Mumbai on Monday at the age of 89.
The veteran actor, who had been battling age-related health issues, leaves behind an extraordinary legacy spanning over six decades and more than 300 films.
Born on December 8, 1935, in Sahnewal, Punjab, Dharmendra made his acting debut in 1960 with 'Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere'. Over the years, he became a household name, charming audiences with his versatility - from romantic leads to action heroes and comic roles.
