Mangaluru, Sept. 23 -- In a significant development, Mahesh Shetty Thimarody, a prominent figure in the Soujanya murder justice campaign, has been externed from entering Dakshina Kannada district for a period of one year.
The order, which came to light today, was issued by Puttur Assistant Commissioner Stella Varghese under Section 55 of the Karnataka State Police Act. As part of the directive, Thimarody has been transferred from Dakshina Kannada to Manvi Taluk in Raichur district. Several criminal cases, including attempted murder, assault, intimidation, and damage to public property, have been registered against him.
