Dehradun, Oct. 4 -- The Uttarakhand government today decided to pay ex-gratia compensation of Rs. 10 lakh to the families of those killed in man-animal conflicts.
This marks a 33 per cent increase from the earlier amount of Rs. 6 lakh.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the government has raised the financial assistance from six lakh to ten lakh rupees for loss of life due to man-animal conflicts in the state.
Earlier, after coming to power for the second time in 2022, his government had increased the ex-gratia payment from four lakh to six lakh rupees.
