New Delhi, Dec. 31 -- The Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, on Tuesday organised a national-level colloquium of Chairpersons of Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunals (DRATs) and Presiding Officers of Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRTs) with the objective of strengthening India's debt recovery framework and improving the effectiveness of tribunal-based resolution mechanisms.
The meeting brought together senior officials from the Department of Financial Services, representatives from public and private sector banks, and officials from the Indian Banks' Association.
The discussions focused on improving operational efficiency, reducing pendency, and ensuring faster recovery of dues through tribunal processes.
