Hyderabad, Dec. 30 -- A strong wave of devotion swept across Telangana on Tuesday as thousands of devotees thronged temples, especially those dedicated to Lord Vishnu, to mark the auspicious occasion of Vaikuntha Ekadashi, also known as Mukkoti Ekadashi.
From the early hours of the day, devotees observed fasting, offered special prayers, and immersed themselves in reading sacred scriptures. According to Hindu mythology, Vaikuntha is believed to be the celestial abode of Lord Vishnu, and darshan on this day is considered highly sacred.
