Kakinada, July 20 -- Devotees in large numbers today thronged the Nookalamma temple near two town police station to have the darshan of the deity decorated in 'Sakambari Avatar'.
Nookalamma is considered as the Kakinada town 'Village deity' and savior of the people from evil forces.
Besides the deity, entire temple was decorated with various types of vegetables and fruits.
Being a Sunday, devotees thronged the temple in large numbers from various parts of the city and formed bee lines from the early hours to have the darshan of the Deity in Sakambari avatar.
Janasena district secretary and the Festival committee president Thalatam Satya and Thalatam Nani friends forum members arranged orderly distribution of Prasadam to the devotees.
