Kangra, Nov. 3 -- A large number of devotees flocked to the Jayanti Mata Temple on the second day of the ongoing Panch Bhishma Fair on Sunday. Panch Bhishma Fair is observed to remember Bhishma Pitama while he was on the bed of arrows during the Mahabharat war.
As soon as the temple doors opened this morning, the influx of devotees began, with people arriving while chanting praises of the Goddess and offering prayers at her shrine.
Situated at the top of a hill, overlooking the Kangra Fort and adjoining Kangra, the Jayanti Mata Temple is an ancient shrine that holds immense religious significance. During the five-day fair, five ceremonial lamps (diyas) will remain continuously lit in the sanctum of the Goddess.
