Deoghar, July 14 -- The State Shravan Mela 2025 in Jharkhand began with great devotion on the first today, as the gates of the revered Baba Baidyanath temple opened at 4:12 am, marking the beginning of water offerings (Jalarpan).
Since midnight, long queues of devotees had formed, stretching from Nandan Pahad to Chamaridih Bridge, approximately 8km. All the kanwariyas (devotees carrying holy water) proceeded in a disciplined line, continuously chanting praises of Lord Shiva.
The entire route echoed with devotional chants as soon as the water offerings began.
