Bengaluru, Dec. 24 -- : Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) patriarch H.D. Deve Gowda on Wednesday said that a writ petition related to the Bengaluru-Mysuru Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC/NICE) project has been filed in the Supreme Court and that he has also been made a party to the case.
Addressing a press conference at the party's State office, JP Bhavan, here, Deve Gowda said the state government, some farmers and himself have all been named as parties in the petition.
He recalled that when the agreement for the project was signed during his tenure as Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah was the Finance Minister. The project had the concurrence of the Finance Department and a memorandum of understanding was signed accordingly. Siddar...
