Bengaluru, Oct. 4 -- Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda today lifted the veil on what he described as a deliberate campaign of political and media intimidation surrounding his grandson Prajwal Revanna in the sex-scandal case.

Speaking with measured yet unmistakably sharp undertones, Deve Gowda refrained from naming a senior Congress leader but left little doubt about the target of his remarks.

"For three months, the media camped outside my house from 6 am to 10 pm. Who instigated all of that? You all saw those days. You know the force behind it," he told reporters, pointing to what he described as a calculated assault aimed at destabilising his family and, by extension, the JDS party's political standing in Karnataka.
