Los Angeles, Nov. 27 -- Indian filmmaker Devashish Makhija and actor-producer Anshuman Jha are teaming up for a crime noir thriller, marking their first collaboration. The project, currently untitled, brings together two distinctive voices in contemporary Indian cinema, according to Variety.

Makhija, whose internationally acclaimed works include Joram, Bhonsle, and Ajji, is developing what is being described as a high-tension, genre-driven narrative.

Jha, fresh from Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, has been cast in the lead role. The actor has built a diverse career with films such as Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Chauranga, Lakadbaggha, and No Fathers in Kashmir.
