Mulugu, Feb. 22 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today said the State government is committed to completing the Devadula Project within two years and safeguarding the state's rightful share in Godavari waters.
Addressing a review meeting at the Devadula here, the Chief Minister said the Godavari water issue had been given a political colour and that allegations and "false propaganda" would not help when the focus should be on making north Telangana fertile.
He alleged that several Telangana irrigation projects were neglected during the united Andhra Pradesh era and informed that projects such as Pranahita, SRSP and Devadula should have been completed earlier to fully utilise the State's 967 TMC share.
