Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- The Derjang project in Odisha's Angul district, once known primarily for irrigation and drinking water supply, is now transforming into a modern tourist destination with the inauguration of a new boating facility.
union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday inaugurated the long-awaited boating amenities at Derjang in Banarpal, Angul district.
Developed at a cost of over Rs.6 crore, the initiative is expected to give a fresh identity to the district's tourism sector while boosting the local economy.
