New Delhi, April 13 -- Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien on Monday invoked a "chronology" of his party's record on women's representation, highlighting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's long-standing advocacy and the Trinamool Congress's electoral track record, even as the national debate over the Women's Reservation Bill intensifies ahead of the upcoming special session of Parliament.
In a sharply worded statement, O'Brien pointed to what he described as decades of consistent commitment by Banerjee on the issue.
