Mumbai, July 5 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde launched a scathing critique of Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray today, contrasting his recent language rally speech with that of MNS leader Raj Thackeray.

Speaking to reporters in Thane, he characterised Raj's address as reflecting "genuine concern for Marathi" while accusing Uddhav of displaying "bitterness, jealousy, and desperate craving for power."

"Public expectation demanded Uddhav apologise for endorsing compulsory Hindi education from Class 1 to 12. Instead, he weaponised the platform, raising no substantive issues affecting Marathi communities while exposing naked self-interest," stated the Shiv Sena chief.
