Bhubaneswar, Sept. 30 -- Several parts of Odisha are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall until October 4 due to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to intensify into a depression, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said today.
The IMD bulletin stated that a low-pressure area may form over central Bay of Bengal around October 1 and strengthen into a depression over the west-central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal by October 2.
