Chennai, Oct. 26 -- The Depression over the Bay of Bengal intensified intoa Deep Depression today and will concentrate into Cyclonic Storm 'Montha'possibly by today evening itself and cross the Andhra Pradesh coasts onOctober 28 evening/night after further intensifying as a severe Cyclonic Storm.
It was earlier forecasted that the Depression after intensifying into a DeepDepression would further concentrate into a Cyclonic Storm tomorrowmorning.
The Cyclone was expected to bring heavy rains in North Tamil Nadu and inNorth Interior districts for the next three days and the state government hasput in place all precautionary measures to tackle the cyclone fury.
