Chennai, Nov. 27 -- The Depression over the Bay intensified into a Deep Depressionand would further concentrate as a Cyclonic storm during the next three hours promisingheazvy rains over North and other parts Tamil Nadu for the next 2-3 days.
Met office today said the Depression over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lankacoast moved north-northwestwards, intensified into a Depression.
It now lay centred over the same region about 150 east-northeast of Hambantota (Sri Lanka)and 190 km east-southeast of Batticaloa (Sri Lanka).
It is likely to continue to move nearly north-northwestwards across Southwest Bay of Bengaland adjoining Sri Lanka and intensify further intoa Cyclonic Storm during the next three hours.
