Chennai, Jan. 8 -- The Depression over the Bay of Bengal intensified into aDeep Depression on Thursday and is all set to cross the Sri Lankan tomorrow.
Met office has forecast heavy rains in various districts of Tamil Nadu, includingthe Cauvery Delta, Northern and North Coastal districts till Januay 11 and alsoissued Orange and Yellow alerts far the next three days.
Met office in an update said the Deep Depression over southwest Bay of Bengaland adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean moved nearly west-northwestwardswith a speed of 15 kmph during the past 6 hours.
