Hyderabad, Oct. 13 -- District Election Officer R V Karnan has issued a clarification regarding recent media and social media reports alleging irregularities in voter addition in the Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency.
Several reports had pointed to unusually high numbers of electors registered at individual addresses, such as: H.No. 8-3-231/B/118 - 50 electors, H.No. 8-3-231/B/119 - 10 electors, H.No. 8-3-231/B/164 - 8 electors, H.No. 8-3-231/B/160 - 43 electorsUpon investigation, the DEO clarified that these names were already part of the final electoral rolls for the 2023 Telangana Assembly and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, and no new enrolments have been made at these addresses.
