Lucknow, Dec. 17 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning regarding dense to very dense fog and cold day conditions in Uttar Pradesh between December 17 and 20, 2025.

The department has declared a red alert for some districts and orange and yellow alerts for others. According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of fog in Uttar Pradesh has increased due to an anti-cyclone over western India and surrounding areas and the active western jet stream in the upper atmosphere.
