New Delhi, Jan. 2 -- The residents of national capital woke up to a partly cloudy sky, with medium to dense fog reported in several areas of the city.

As a thick layer of smog continues to blanket the Delhi-NCR region, airlines have cancelled and multiple flights have been delayed, an official said on Friday.

On late Thursday night, IndiGo announced the cancellation of some flights scheduled for Friday due to the forecast of early-morning fog in Delhi. In a travel advisory shared on X, the airline warned that low visibility could disrupt flight operations and result in longer wait times at the airport.
