Mumbai, April 4 -- The alleged gang assault of a 22-year-old woman security guard in Dombivli's Khambalpada area has triggered strong political reaction, with Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Dr Neelam Gorhe demanding stringent action and swift investigation from the Maharashtra government.

In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar today, Dr Gorhe described the incident as not merely an attack on a woman but a serious challenge to law and order in the state.
