Chennai, June 6 -- As the proposed delimitation exercise by the Centre seemed to have
been dominating the political landscape as it would Tamil Nadu's Lok Sabha representation,
a war of words has erupted between the ruling DMK and the main Opposition AIADMK with
the former stoutly opposing and terming that the danger he had warned was now at the doorstep
and the latter accusing DMK of shedding crocodile tears on the issue to hide the failure of its
government.
Strong reiterating his opposition for delimitation based on present population as it would affect
the southern states, Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin, in a statement on Friday
evening said the Census delay (which the BJP Government pushed to 2027) is no accident.
