New Delhi, Sept. 26 -- Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Verma today announced the Delhi Jal Board's (DJB) decision of approving a comprehensive scheme of waiving- off Late Payment Surcharge (LPSC) on the pending domestic and government water bills.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the water board chaired by minister Verma.
However, the minister has said that the decision with regard to the non-domestic category is yet to be taken.
The move is aimed to provide relief to Delhi's households, and to strengthen the financial health of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB), as the board clears the scheme to provide up to 100 per cent waiver till March 31, 2026.
