New Delhi, March 5 -- Delhi Traffic Police carried out a strict special drive during the Holi festival to ensure road safety in the national capital. A total of 4,929 challans were issued, including 1,204 for drunk driving and 3,725 for other traffic rule violations.

Range-wise, Western Range recorded 969 challans, Northern Range 760, Eastern Range 854, Southern Range 857, and Central Range 884 during the enforcement drive.
