Pankaj Jain, Jan. 11 -- Delhi Government has taken a step to strengthen the city's drainage system. Four major drains Mundka Halt-Supplementary Drain, MB Road Storm Water Drain, Kirari-Rithala Trunk Drain, and the Storm Water Drain along Rohtak Road (NH-10) are being developed as key components of the 'Drainage Master Plan'.

Delhi Government has accelerated the construction and expansion work of these major trunk drains, CMO officials said on Sunday.

To address drainage issues in the Kirari, Mundka, Bawana and Nangloi Assembly constituencies of West Delhi, a 4.5 kilometre long trunk drain is proposed to be constructed parallel to the railway line. The project is being implemented by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department. The estimat...
