New Delhi, Dec. 16 -- : Delhi minister Ravinder Indraj Singh on Tuesday said the cooperative movement is the backbone of India's economic and social empowerment, and that his government is committed to strengthening it further.

He said the BJP will develop the city as the national hub of cooperation, providing a common platform for people and products associated with cooperatives from across the country.

Cooperative products will be promoted and given marketing support in Delhi, enabling wider reach and better opportunities for producers.

This was stated by the Delhi cooperation minister while inaugurating the Sahakar Haat organised by the National Bank For Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) at the State Emporia Complex.
